Office

Ultrafab has been servicing the office equipment industry for over 30 years with products ranging from toner seals to our new patented, high tech variable resistivity, UltraStat™ anti-static brushes.

Ultrafab has fabricated pre-oiled nomex wicks for the OEM copy products market since our inception. Our depth and experience in secondary finishing operations provides unique solutions for most industry requirements.

Copiers

Ultrafab recommends UltraStat™ static eliminators and brush seals for use in copy machines.

Static Elimination
Our static eliminators are extremely successful at removing static charge from paper in copiers. Conductive acrylic fiber has a sharper end point than materials used by competitors, making it more effective. UltraStat™ static elimination brushes can be attached to a bracket or applied with adhesive.

Office Equipment Brushes
High quality is necessary for brushes used in sensitive equipment. It is important to use a non-shedding brush or seal so loose fibers do not cause problems. Ultrafab uses an ultrasonic welding process that makes shedding a non-issue. Examples of some brushes used in a copier include:

  • toner seal
  • paper path brush
  • cleaner brushes

Printers

Ultrafab recommends UltraStat™ static eliminators and brush seals and flexible strip brushes for use in printers.

Dust & Toner Removal

Ultrafab recommends static eliminators or seals for removing dust and toner.

Surface
Delicate surfaces may require a nylon brush to avoid scratching. Smaller diameter yarn filaments will be gentler than monofilament. Potential surfaces in an office environment like the glass on a monitor, film, paper, and photo paper should be addressed individually to make sure the best material is chosen.

The higher the density of the bristles the more effective the brush will be with smaller particles like dust. Larger diameter monofilaments will provide more resistance when wiping away heavier materials or materials which may tend to stick to the surface.
